This Privacy Policy explains how CK Tech, LLC d/b/a LabQuix ("LabQuix," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects information through our website at www.lab-quix.com (the "Website") and our cloud-based laboratory information management system, including the LabQuix customer portal, mobile access, and related support services (together, the "Platform"). The Website and the Platform are collectively the "Services."
LabQuix is software for environmental testing laboratories, including labs that test drinking water, wastewater, metals, PFAS, food, and beverages. Our customers are those laboratories ("Lab Clients"). Lab Clients use LabQuix to manage their own customers ("Lab Customers"), such as homeowners, water system operators, builders, property managers, and businesses that submit samples for testing.
Summary
For the Platform, LabQuix acts as a service provider to the laboratory. The laboratory decides what information is entered and how it is used. If you submitted samples to a lab that uses LabQuix, please contact that lab about your information.
We collect the information needed to run a testing lab: customer and billing contacts, sampling locations, chain-of-custody records, test results, certificates, and invoices.
Card payments are handled by a third-party payment processor. LabQuix does not store full card numbers.
We do not sell personal information and do not use it for targeted advertising.
Our Website uses essential cookies and analytics cookies only. You can reject analytics cookies at any time.
Platform data is hosted in the United States and protected with multi-factor authentication, role-based access, audit logging, and daily backups.
1. Our Role: Laboratories and Their Customers
LabQuix has two different roles depending on how you interact with us:
When LabQuix is the business responsible for your information. This covers visitors to our Website, people who request a demo or contact us, and the business contacts of our Lab Clients (for example, the lab staff who manage the LabQuix account). This Privacy Policy fully applies to that information.
When LabQuix processes information on behalf of a laboratory. Information that a Lab Client enters into or generates through the Platform about its Lab Customers, samples, and test results ("Lab Data") belongs to, and is controlled by, that Lab Client. We process Lab Data only to provide the Platform to the Lab Client, under our agreement with them and their instructions. The Lab Client's own privacy notice governs how it collects and uses Lab Data.
If you are a Lab Customer and have questions about your test results, invoices, portal account, or personal information, please contact the laboratory you work with. If we receive a request from a Lab Customer, we will forward it to the relevant Lab Client and help them respond as needed.

3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
Provide, operate, maintain, and support the Platform for our Lab Clients, including sample intake, chain-of-custody management, testing workflows, result reporting, certificates, billing, and the customer portal.
Send results, status updates, invoices, statements, and reminders by email or text message when a Lab Client sets up or requests those communications.
Submit results to regulatory agencies (such as a state Department of Health) when directed by the Lab Client.
Secure the Services, including authenticating users, enforcing access permissions, detecting and preventing fraud or unauthorized access, and keeping audit records.
Back up data and restore it after a system failure or disaster.
Respond to inquiries, schedule demos, and provide customer support.
Understand how visitors use our Website and improve the Services, using aggregated or de-identified information where possible.
Bill Lab Clients for LabQuix subscriptions and services.
Comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
We use Lab Data only to provide the Platform to the Lab Client that controls it, as described in our agreement with that Lab Client. We do not use Lab Data to market to Lab Customers.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share information only as follows:
With the Lab Client that controls it. Lab Data is available to the authorized users of the Lab Client that entered it. Information in a Lab Customer's portal account is shared between that Lab Customer and their laboratory.
With regulators and partner labs, at the Lab Client's direction. For example, when a Lab Client reports results to a state Department of Health or sends samples to a sub-out laboratory.
With service providers that help us operate the Services, such as cloud hosting and backup providers, email and text-message delivery services, website analytics providers, and our payment processor. Card information is entered directly with the payment processor; LabQuix receives only a payment confirmation and limited details such as card type and last four digits. Service providers may use information only to provide services to us and must protect it.
For legal reasons, when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, subpoena, or court order, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of LabQuix, our Lab Clients, or others.
In a business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to the commitments in this Privacy Policy.
With your consent or at your direction.
5. Text Messages and Emails
Lab Clients may use LabQuix to send Lab Customers text messages and emails about samples, results, invoices, and payments. These messages are sent on behalf of the laboratory. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP to opt out of text messages, or contact the laboratory to change your notification preferences. Opting out of time-critical result notifications may delay when you learn of a result.
If you receive marketing emails from LabQuix, you can unsubscribe using the link in the email or by contacting us. We will still send you messages related to your account or our services.
6. Cookies and Analytics
Our Website and Platform use the following technologies:
Essential cookies that keep you signed in, protect your session, and remember your cookie preferences. The Services do not work properly without them.
Analytics cookies (for example, Google Analytics) that tell us how many people visit the Website, which pages they view, and how they arrived, so we can improve the Website.
We do not use advertising or remarketing cookies. You can accept or reject analytics cookies using the cookie notice on our Website, and you can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Google offers an opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Where required by law, we treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a request to opt out of analytics cookies.
7. Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including:
Encryption of data in transit using HTTPS/TLS.
Multi-factor authentication, IP address whitelisting, and automatic session timeouts.
Role-based access controls so each user sees only the screens and data their role requires.
Audit logs of user activity, result changes, and permission changes.
Automatic daily backups and documented restoration procedures.
No system is completely secure. Lab Clients are responsible for managing their users, keeping passwords confidential, and setting appropriate permissions. If we learn of a security incident affecting personal information, we will notify affected Lab Clients and, where required, individuals and authorities, as required by law and our agreements.
8. Data Retention
Lab Data is kept for as long as the Lab Client has an active agreement with us, and in line with the Lab Client's instructions and its own record-retention obligations (for example, regulatory requirements to keep drinking-water testing records for a set number of years). When an agreement ends, we return or delete Lab Data as provided in that agreement. Copies in backups are deleted as backups expire on their normal schedule.
Website inquiries and business contact information are kept for as long as needed to respond and maintain our business relationship, and then deleted or de-identified.
Security and audit logs are kept as long as needed to protect the Services and meet legal obligations.
9. Where Data Is Stored
LabQuix is based in the United States, and the Platform and Lab Data are hosted in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
10. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Know and access the personal information we hold about you.

11. Children
The Services are business tools for laboratories and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
